The long, flexible fibers used to make the high temperature ceramic blanket are blown and spun into a board that is robust, lightweight, and durable for use in situations where the temperature ranges from 1100° C (2012° F) to 1430° C (2600° F). High temperature ceramic blankets are designed to be used in situations where increased rigidity and mechanical rigidity are required along with improved insulating properties. The ceramic fiber board is totally inorganic and is needed to give superior handling strength, used in a range of heat processing applications, including refractory linings, backup isolation, heat shields, combustion chambers, flue isolation, and fire protection.
