Overview of ISOWOOL TM Rock Wool Linear:

ISOWOOL TM rock wool Linear is used for insulation of standard buildings or areas with complex geometrical shapes of roofs, walls, floors and ceilings in industrial and living buildings.

The main advantage of linear is its fire-resistance properties.

Thermal insulation — 0.041 W/m*K

Density — 95 (+/-10) kg/m3

Short-term water absorption — less than 1 kg/m2

Advantages of ISOWOOL TM Rock Wool Linear:

• Outstanding thermal and acoustic properties

• Exceptional fire performance - Non-combustible – Used as Fire Breaks within SPS Envirowall’s EWI systems.

• Relies on entrapped air to provide a stable thermal performance

• Is rated as having Zero Ozone Depleting Potential and Global Warming Potential. Relying on entrapped

air for its thermal properties, we are proud to say that External Wall and Facade Lamella Slabs do not

contain (and have never contained) gases that have an ozone depleting potential (ODP) or global

warming potential (GWP)

• External Wall slabs provide tighter contact with the existing façade and optimises thermal performance

• Easily cut and shaped

• Dimensionally stable

• Options for installation on flat and curved surfaces with Facade Lamella recommended for installation

to curved surfaces

• Fibres knit together at horizontal and vertical board joints to eliminate thermal bridging

• Open cell structure allows the facade to breathe minimising the risk of condensation

Applications of ISOWOOL TM Rock Wool Linear:

Roof Insulation: Rock wool insulation can be used in flat and pitched roofs to provide thermal insulation and enhance energy efficiency in buildings.

Wall Insulation: Rock wool insulation is often installed in exterior and interior walls to reduce heat transfer, improve acoustic performance, and enhance fire resistance.

Cavity Wall Insulation: Rock wool can be used in the cavities of double-skin walls to provide thermal and acoustic insulation.

Floor Insulation: Rock wool products can be used in floors to improve thermal and acoustic insulation between different levels of a building.

HVAC Duct Insulation: Rock wool insulation is utilized to insulate heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) ducts, preventing heat loss or gain within the ductwork.

Fireproofing: Rock wool is often used in fireproofing applications, including fire-rated walls, partitions, and ceilings, to enhance the fire resistance of the structures.

Industrial Applications: Rock wool is used in various industrial applications, such as insulation for equipment, tanks, and pipelines, where thermal and fire resistance are crucial.

Acoustic Insulation: Rock wool products are effective in reducing noise pollution in buildings. They are used in theaters, recording studios, offices, and residential buildings to improve acoustic comfort.

Marine and Offshore Applications: Rock wool insulation is used in marine and offshore structures to provide thermal and fire protection in challenging environments.

Prefabricated Panels: Rock wool is integrated into prefabricated building panels, enhancing their thermal and acoustic insulation properties.

Green Roofs: Rock wool is used as a substrate in green roof systems, providing thermal insulation for the building and creating a supportive environment for plant growth.

High-Temperature Insulation: Rock wool products are used in industrial applications that involve high temperatures, such as furnaces and kilns, due to their ability to withstand extreme heat.
