Advantages of nitrile rubber sheet

① The oil resistance of NBR sheet is second only to polysulfide rubber and fluororubber, but better than neoprene. Due to the high polarity of cyano group, nitrile rubber basically does not swell non-polar and weak polar oils, but has poor resistance to aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbon oils.

② The nitrile rubber plate contains acrylonitrile structure, which not only reduces the degree of molecular unsaturation, but also makes the hydrogen at the allyl position more stable due to the strong electron absorption ability of cyano group. Therefore, its heat resistance is better than that of natural, styrene butadiene and other general-purpose rubbers. With appropriate formula, the maximum service temperature can reach 130 ℃, and it can withstand 150 ℃ in hot oil.

③ The polarity of nitrile rubber plate increases the intermolecular force, which improves the wear resistance. Its wear resistance is 30% ~ 45% higher than that of natural rubber.

④ The polarity of nitrile rubber plate and trans-1,4 structure make its structure compact and its air permeability is low. It and butyl rubber belong to the rubber with good air tightness.

⑤ Due to the introduction of acrylonitrile, the structure stability of butadiene rubber plate is improved, so its chemical corrosion resistance is better than that of natural rubber, but its resistance to strong oxidizing acid is poor.

⑥ NBR sheet is non crystalline rubber without self reinforcing property. The tensile strength of pure rubber vulcanizate is only 3.0 ~ 4.5MPa. Therefore, it must be reinforced before it can be used. The tensile strength of carbon black reinforced vulcanizate can reach 25 ~ 30MPa, which is better than that of styrene butadiene rubber.
